Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Saeedah developed an interest in storytelling through Hip Hop. It was through her exposure to the local hip hop and art scene that she began to recognize the need for diverse narratives. After gaining her B.A in communications from St. John’s University, Saeedah spent time at BET, Loki Films, and Castle Pictures working in casting, development, production management, and marketing.

Currently, Saeedah is an MFA Producing graduate from Columbia College Chicago. Her most recent works include the short films Drown, Little Star, and her thesis film Birds And Other Things We Placed In Our Hearts which is currently in post-production.
